Welcome to my website! I’m thrilled to be able to offer some insight into my professional journey. This includes my past clinical experiences, interests and involvements in chiropractic, and journey to offering clinical services in Burlington, ON. I hope you find the information you are looking for! Please feel free to get in touch with questions regarding anything on this site or about my practice!

Education

I attended post-secondary studies at Brock University, completing an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology. During this time, I worked with the varsity Men’s Soccer team as an athletic trainer, opening my eyes to both acute and long-term care for athletes. I used these experiences toclarify my professional interests: physiotherapy, chiropractic, athletic therapy, medical school, etc. With all that in mind, I began studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON immediately after graduation from Brock. At the end of my four-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I graduated with Clinic Honours and a wealth of health-related information! I’m proud to carry my educational experience into an evidence-informed, patient-centred model of care, with significant experience stemming from two six-month internships at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, as well as a satellite clinic in Oakville.

“My philosophy of care is closely tied to these goals: I intend to provide excellent hands-on, individualized, evidence-informed care to each and every patient, improving quality of life by managing pain and restoring functional capacity.”

Chiropractic Exposure

I first became interested in chiropractic as a young athlete. I tried to participate in as many sports as possible — soccer, golf, curling, running, basketball, baseball, tennis, etc — so it wasn’t long before I recognized the physical toll this many sports took on the body. Chiropractic care helped me keep going in the short term, ensured my health in the long term, and allowed me to live the life I wanted. These are the benefits I try to bring to each of my patients today — whether it is dealing with work-related physical demands, recreational sport bumps and bruises, or long-standing painful conditions — handle the short term complaints, ensure long-term function, and help you live your life as you see fit.

Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is closely tied to these goals: I intend to provide excellent hands-on, individualized, evidence-informed care to each and every patient, improving quality of life by managing pain and restoring functional capacity. No two patients are exactly alike, and that’s why I prefer to tailor treatments to each individual patient. Your treatment could involve a variety of different “tools” to impart the right therapeutic effect for you! For example, joint manipulation or mobilization, soft tissue therapy are common tenants of treatment. Furthermore, modalities (eg. electrical modalities, laser therapy, ultrasound, local vibration), rehabilitative exercise, and adjunctive therapies like orthotics and taping are used to enhance your results. In my clinical experience, the best results come from using a few of these options together, rather than only selecting one. The whole idea is to find the right combination that gets you better in the least amount of time possible!
