About Dr. Jim Gilliard
I believe that everyone deserves to move through life without pain holding them back. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or a weekend warrior, my role is to be your trusted partner — to uncover the ‘why’ behind your symptoms and build a roadmap for your recovery and performance. This is the foundation of ‘contemporary excellence’ in care.

Your needs and well-being are my priority, and I aim to provide contemporary excellence in chiropractic care using an evidence-informed, individualized approach every visit.
Education
My journey didn’t start in a chiropractic college; it started while completing an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at Brock University where I worked on the sidelines as a student athletic therapist helping athletes return to the game. This experience opened my eyes to acute and long-term care for athletic injuries, but I wanted to apply these lessons beyond athletes alone.
Pursuing a four-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON allowed me to combine hands-on therapy with the diagnostic precision of chiropractic and the rehabilitative power of exercise. My experiences here also included six-month internships at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and the CMCC Bronte Harbour Chiropractic Clinic in Oakville, ON, which exposed me to complex cases and reinforced the importance of a collaborative, evidence-based approach to patient care.
After graduating from chiropractic college, I was proud to join Endorphins Health and Wellness Centre in Burlington, ON with an evidence-informed, patient-focused model of care and a wealth of clinical experience.

Philosophy of Care
I intend to provide excellent hands-on, individualized, evidence informed care to each and every patient to improve quality of life by managing pain and restoring functional capacity.
No two patients are the same, and that’s why utilizing multiple treatment tools to fit your individual health care needs is essential to my patient care. A combination of diagnosis, education, treatment intervention, and targeted strategies to avoid re-injury make up the pillars of contemporary chiropractic care. This may include treatment tools like joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, electrical stimulation, laser therapy, stretches/exercises, etc. In my experience, the best results come from using these tools together, rather than only selecting one.
You are unique! Your care plan will be too, utilizing a wide range of effective techniques while giving you the knowledge and tools to manage your health independently.
